2nd Annual Interpreters' Professional Development Workshop

The Multicultural Community Service (MCS), in partnership with the Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs (OLA), is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Interpreters’ Professional Development Workshop.  During this workshop, interpreters will have the opportunity to discuss current challenges and strategies in the field, while also participating in sessions led by interpretation experts.

With the support of Bilingual Matters, the publisher of Interpretation: Techniques and Exercises, we are pleased to have the opportunity to make this wonderful resource available to all attendees of the 2nd Annual Interpreters' Professional Development Workshop.   This book, which was written by James Nolan who will be presenting as part of the workshop, has been carefully reviewed by MCS staff members who believes it is a great resource.  The book covers many topics including complex syntax, word order/clusters, figures of speech and argumentation.  Additionally, the book provides many exercises.  The book is priced at $43 and Mr. Nolan will sign each book.  While books will be available at the April 10th workshop, to guarantee a copy please reserve your copy as part of your payment.  Only book orders received by March 10, 2010 can be guaranteed.
