Holly Mikkelson is Associate Professor of Spanish Translation & Interpretation at the Graduate School of Translation & Interpretation, Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is a federally certified court interpreter and an ATA-certified translator with over 30 years of experience practicing the profession and teaching translation and interpreting. She has written many books and articles on legal interpreting and translation as well as related subjects, and has consulted with many different entities on tbe training and testing of interpreters. Professor Mikkelson has been invited to speak at conferences throughout the United States and all over the world.
